This was a student entry for DDB/FBI’s 2024 Talent Launch Competition. I completed it with Gene Gokson, whom I met at M&C Open House.

MANDATORIES: ‘Let’s go for a drive’ strapline.
It was my first campaign with a creative partner (we were hungry too—we both agonised equally over art and copy) and I think it instills a sense of accessibility to the work, while still feeling undeniably like us.
Our main concern was tapping into the ingenuity present in every DDB/Volks ad. I said to Gene, “In their ads, the world is clean. And precision manufacturing feels obvious, like LEGO pieces coming together. Like a Norm Rockwell painting or something.“
I think we got there in the end.
